Yahoo offers an opportunity to establish an account for email, personalized news, and many other benefits. You can follow these steps to create your profile in less than three minutes.

Go to the home page for Yahoo. Then select the command which allows you to create an account. You can click on the Sign In option to reach this screen if it is not initially available.

Your Yahoo account must have a unique username. You will also need to give the platform your first and last name. Type your preferred name into the appropriate box to see if it is available.

You cannot proceed with a new Yahoo account until you find a unique username. Yahoo will give you some options from which to choose if your first choice is not available. Your ID cannot be changed after creation, but you can build an email alias or sign up for another account.

Add other personal information elements, such as your birthday, gender, and phone number. Yahoo gives you the option to provide a recovery number to a different person if you wish without naming them, but you will need to state your relationship to that contact.

Click on the purple Create Account button at the bottom of the screen. Yahoo will tell you if your account is successfully created afterward.

TIP: If you have a Yahoo account in the past that was permanently deleted, then the username is no longer available. You would need to create a new account with a different ID.
